The Physiotherapist we can work with you to help manage your fatigue with your family and careers to effectively help you cope with your fatigue and find means to reduce your fatigue during day to day life.

SAEBO

The SaeboFlex and SaeboReach allows individuals suffering from neurological impairments, such as stroke, the ability to incorporate their arm and hand functionally in therapy and at home. These unique orthoses position the wrist and fingers into extension in preparation for object manipulation. The user is able to grasp objects by voluntarily flexing his or her fingers. Once the fingers relax (stop gripping), the extension spring system assists in re-opening the hand to release the object. (this is copyright from the websits)

The Neuro Physiotherapist is trained in assessment and fittings of individualized SaeboFlex© splints. The physiotherapist will develop an exercise program with the SaeboFlex© equipment

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy Physiotherapy (also known as Aquatic Therapy) is exercises in warm water. The unique properties of warm water can improve movement of stiff or swollen joints, provide relaxation, strengthen weak muscles and alleviate aches and pains.

Water boasts unique properties which aide both therapy and fitness and is particularly beneficial for those who cannot comfortably rehabilitate or work out on land, as is often the case with Neurological Conditions.

A client may continue with land-based Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy in conjunction with one another, alternatively, they may use hydrotherapy to assist with specific movement patterns, reduce spasticity and ease pain prior to progressing to land-based therapy.

There are many local hydrotherapy pools that are suitable to use for neurological condition

Functional Electrical Stimulation and Orthotics

The use of FES and Orthotics equipment’s is a treatment technique to stimulate and facilitate muscles that have been affected by the Neurological condition

The Neuro Physiotherapist will complete the assessment and advice on the correct equipment’s to help with the movement of your arm or leg.
